Those of you who follow my blog will remember that I'm trying to re-teach my self crochet, and that I promised to show you my first effort. Well, after MUCH grumbling, much tearing out..stitches AND hair and lot's of internet searching...I finished a Granny Square!! Yay me! It's a little rough, but a good first. Took awhile to get the rhythm and the tension right. I finally settled on this website for instructions. Clear and concise! I plan to make a throw for the sofa, so...one down 98 to go!!
Tell me what you think... and be nice :-)

I first though--Oh my, Lori Lynn is going down a bad path with her career choices :) LOL I absolutely love your granny square. I crocheted too many years ago and would love to pick it up again. I take it that hasn’t been easy. I would love to make a throw and your colors are awesome. I am going to check out that website.
ReplyDeletePS--what a great giveaway you had--I love it all. Happy for Tete :)

Well done..My tension is to tight ,so Crotchet sadly is not for me..xx
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! I can't wait to see your throw. By the way, I have tried many times to teach myself to knit (even though I knew how to as a kid) and still can't get the hang of it. I don't even want to consider learning crochet.
