Waiting...

..for DH to get up. Today is the last day that we have to go to our friend M's house to help her finish up with her move to NY. The pets have been shipped, the movers have come for the furniture and now we will clean the house for her to get ready for the renters. Ah, me. It's the last thing I want to do today, but our friend is disabled and needs our help.

We have been working on this 'project' for nearly a month now. DH has made numerous trips to the dump and the thrift stores with years of accumulated detritus. M's DH left for NY on the 18th of March to start a new job and M had to stay behind to deal with the enormity of such a move. I think she has been in denial because it's taken much coaxing on our part to get her to this point. The upside is that we've been paid well for our services, as the new job is paying for the move and all of the extraneous expenses associated with such a move. It's been a win/win situation, but I'm so tired today and just want to rest! C'est la vie!

Blogging...

... is more addicting than I thought it was going to be. LOL! I’m constantly thinking “ok, what can I write about now?” Since it is spring, I will probably begin to regale you with my backyard bird watching passion, so look out! The birdies are out in full force!!

Rant...

Well, I got a flat tire on the way to work this morning. Second one in 6 months. My tires are less than 2 years old and 100% guaranteed, so there's no out of pocket expense. MDH works nights so I had to get him up and he wasn't pleased. The kicker is I've been giving a coworker a ride to and from work and she had to scramble to get a ride. I feel like I let her down, but what can ya do?? Life's little hassles, they say, but it just really messes up my day when it starts out like that! GRRR........

I miss her...

My daughter came to visit for a week last month. It had been 4 years since we'd seen each other. It was a great visit, way too short and I can't wait to see her again soon!

This cracks me up every time I look at it! Poor little guy!!

One of "Those' People

I never would have dreamed that I would one day become one of ‘those’ people who spend hours posting away on the www thinking they have something to say that others would want to read!!

Well, I actually found some blogs that were interesting, and the more I read them the more hooked I got! There are a handful that I look forward to reading on a regular basis, and if there haven’t been any posts for awhile (life happens, I know), well, I get disappointed.

Back in the 80’s I wrote a lot of poetry and even have the rough outlines for a couple of novels stored away somewhere. What happened? Hmmm.. a divorce, a remarriage, a huge career change, not to mention a move to another state. The years just rolled by and here I am missing that creativity that I know is still somewhere inside of me.

To that end, I have started my own blog. I do hope that I turn out to be one of ‘those’ people who spend hours posting away on the www and have something to say that EVERYONE will want to read!
