How cold is it where you are? He could be huddled for warmth. That is a bird's sleeping position. Maybe he smacked into a window and is trying to recover from the shock of it. Let us know if he's still there tomorrow. I was watching one on my aunt's back deck earlier today. I love these huge colorful birds.Anna
Oh, I hate to say it but usually this is their behavior just before they expire. I hope I'm wrong. Let us know if it wakes up and flies away.
Goodness, I have no idea, and I don't even know what a flicker is but my guess is she may be ill. What the heck do I know though. In Washington we have Canadian geese, hummingbirds and robins and white swans...not sure what in the world a FLICKER is...smile!
Llyn, I did not know that a Flicker was a bird. Maybe he's just be trying to keep warm..like so many of us. I hold my photos on a site called Flickr.. at first I thought thats what you were asking about until I saw the photo. Is he still like that? Hope he's ok.. Happy New year... Blessings ~Mary~ :-}
